Credit Information Service
The Federation produces a range of credit information services to contributing companies that give a confidential analysis of details submitted. This is available in golf, angling and play sectors.
Each month, members are asked to provide details of debts where legal action has been taken to recover the amount outstanding. The information is then collated and circulated to participating members in the form of a report.
The purpose of the scheme is to assist members in assessing whether or not to allow a company or individual credit terms.
How it works:
Participating companies are asked to include:
- Only cases where legal action has been taken (i.e. put into the hands of solicitors).
- Cases current at the date of the report (i.e. new cases together with cases still outstanding from previous list.)
- The name of each case every month until the case is settled. Where a case is not mentioned, having been included in a previous list, it will be assumed that it has been settled.
- Companies in the UK and abroad.
Companies must exclude :
- Cases in dispute
- Cases put into hands of credit agencies
- Cases where debit is less than £100
A monthly report will be sent to participating members, including companies sending “Nil” returns. This monthly report will include the number of mentions (e.g. where a company is mentioned by more than one member and the amount of debts given as an aggregated sum.) The report is confidential and for members’ use only.
