GCA on the Road '07

With many golf courses having experienced a washout in June and July, the Golf Consultants Association will focus part of its second ‘Profit from Golf’ Roadshow on ways to recoup revenue.

Keynote speakers will demonstrate the latest marketing techniques and other initiatives designed to bring golfers back to golf courses following the wettest summer in British history. Ian Bulleid, GCA Chairman, said, “It has been a terrible summer for many golf businesses and finding ways to recoup revenue lost to the ‘monsoons’ of June and July could be critical for some.
The agenda for the second ‘Profit from Golf’ Roadshow has been deliberately constructed to enable golf course owners and managers to go back to their businesses armed with ways to boost the usage of their facilities.”

The event, sponsored by Ransomes Jacobsen, will culminate in a 2007 Review of the Year where, in an extended Q&A session, delegates will share feedback on the golf season and share thoughts on increasing business in 2008. Other key sessions will consider ways to attract funding and investment; how indoor golf simulators are revolutionising golf practice venues; and how to run F&B profitably.

Held regionally for the convenience of delegates, the GCA Roadshows are seen as key networking events in the industry. This ‘South East’ edition will take place at Playgolf Northwick Park on 19th September.
